On Friday 14 February, we signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Sydney Roosters to be the base for their South Island Academy.

This satellite academy is an incredible opportunity for selected 13-15 year olds from around New Zealand who could potentially sign for the Roosters U16 Harold Matthews Cup team. It is so exciting to have a high performance programme based in our school.

Our junior rugby players supported our Advisory Haemata (senior kaupapa Māori class) for the mihi whakatau, and we were proud of Kayshana Rapana—school cultural leader and captain of our girls' rugby league team—in her role as kaikōrero.
