Thank you for your interest in hosting international students.
Rolleston College has long term international students who stay with us from between one year and up to five years. Most of them arrive in January and start at the beginning of a school year, but some may start in July which is the summer holiday of the northern hemisphere. They need their own bedroom and access to other settings as one of your family members.
We also have short term students starting with us as any time of the school year. The most popular times are term 1 and term 3. They come for one week or up to one term for New Zealand educational and cultural experience. How long they stay depends on how long they enrol with us for, as an individual or a group. Most of them need their own bedroom. Some are happy with twin share with group friends.
We pay homestay fees to families who look after our international students. We will endeavour to work on behalf of our homestay families' benefit and in return we ask you to provide good quality care for the students when they are at your home. If both homestay families and students are well looked afterand happy, then more opportunities will open for more students to come and study at our college and visit our beautiful New Zealand in the future.
