Year 12 design trip
Is your year 12 learner interested in a design career? Would they like to come on a trip into Christchurch on Tuesday 4 March to visit four workplaces:
Jewellery design: The Filing Kabinett (The Tannery)
Fashion design: Alchemy Equipment (The Tannery)
Furniture design: Kovacs (Ferry Road)
Graphic design with a cultural focus: Ariki Creative (Ferry Road)
Learners will be back by lunchtime. Transport will be provided. Learners can register here.

New Zealand Defence Force officer training programme
Have you considered making leadership your career?
The NZ Army Officer Training Programme is a one-of-a-kind, one-year military leadership course designed to challenge you beyond your limits. Upon completion, you’ll lead soldiers in areas such as combat teams, logistics, IT/communications, policing, engineering, intelligence, or medical services.
Officer recruitment takes place in January each year, with selections for 2026 taking place in July, September, and November this year.
To help you learn more, the NZ Army is hosting an online webinar and Q&A session with recent officer graduates at 7pm on Wednesday, 26 February 2025.
Topics include selection process, training and leadership development, scholarship opportunities, career pathways and work-life balance.
