Tūhono kapa haka festival

Our rōpū of 26 ākonga from Horoeka Haemata (Rolleston College) attended Tūhono, an annual kapa haka festival for schools in Ōtautahi.

They selected waiata and haka from within their kapa haka repertoire, which took them about five weeks to prepare for.

This year they competed with 15 other secondary schools.

They showed mana, aroha and kōtahitanga throughout, and although they didn't win, whānau were so proud of how they performed building mana in our kura, their whānau and of course themselves.

Ka mau te wehi e te rōpū!
