We have lots of exciting things happening in the arts at Rolleston College!
Performing arts students and teachers have been busy preparing for our school production of Grease, The Muscial, which will be showing from Wednesday 14 to Friday 16 August. Information about tickets will come out soon on the Rolleston College Facebook and Instagram.
We also have Showquest. Showquest is set to perform on Thursday 20 June, and tickets are being sold now on the Ticketek website. We will be fundraising to help families pay for our new Rolleston College dance tees so keep a lookout for this.
For dancers who have missed out on Showquest, we have another dance opportunity, Dance NZ Made, which we will start preparing for as soon as Showquest is over. In the three years we’ve entered Dance NZ Made, each time has been a huge success and we can’t wait to enter Dance NZ Made for the fourth time!
There has been a heap of work happening in our visual arts department. Vidushi and Jess have been running art club every Friday lunchtime and love supporting students on their own individual projects as well as running group activities. We have also had an opportunity to enter a New Zealand young artists' and writers' magazine called Toitoi.
Rockquest is happening on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 May. This is an incredible opportunity that many of our music students are taking advantage of. Wish them all luck!
