NCEA co-requisite examinations

We will be running the NCEA co-requisite examinations at school for two weeks from Monday 20 May. A range of learners in years 9 to 12 will sit the exams. The exams will take place in the auditorium with two exam sessions each day. The first session begins at 8:30am and the second at 11:50am.

Learners who are enrolled for these exams will receive an email from school by early next week with the following details:

  • which exams they will sit
  • times and dates.

These exams are for learners to have the opportunity to achieve their required literacy and/or numeracy credits to work towards passing NCEA level 1.

This is the first opportunity this year to sit these exams and not everyone will be enrolled in these exams. There will be another opportunity later in the year. Most learners in this round of exams will be seniors with some junior learners also being given their first opportunity. All learners will have an opportunity to sit these exams during their secondary school years when they are identified as ‘being ready’.

If you are unsure about whether your child should be sitting these exams please contact their Ako/Advisory coach.
